Grouped by symptom
Nobody walks in asking for an aluminium riser. They walk in saying their neck hurts by four o’clock, or that the fan runs constantly, or that the person opposite on the F train can read their screen. So the five groups on this site are named after those problems rather than after manufacturers.
It also means the categories cut across brands. A stand from one maker and a cooling pad from another sit in the same group because they solve the same complaint.
Sizes are the whole game
More returns are caused by a size mismatch than by anything else in this category. A 15.6-inch privacy film will not fit a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and a sleeve cut for a 13.5-inch Surface will not close around a gaming laptop. Every listing here carries the machine size in the title, not buried in a specification table.
If you are unsure what panel you have, the model number on the underside is enough for us to work it out. That is a phone call, not a guess.
What we do not sell online
No laptops, no components, no service work through this site. Repair kits are here because customers ask for spudgers and drivers, but a kit is not the same as a repair, and we will say so rather than sell you one that will not help.
For service, the counter in Brooklyn is the place. The catalogue is deliberately limited to things that can be posted and used without us in the room.
